Privacy Policy
Last updated June 11, 2026
GateGuard ("we," "us") helps travelers understand and exercise their passenger rights. This policy explains what information we collect and how we use it. The short version: we collect very little, we don't sell any of it, and everything we do collect exists to make the product work.
Information we collect
Waitlist email. If you join the waitlist, we store your email address and signup time so we can send you a confirmation and product updates.
Flight lookups. Flight numbers you search are sent to our servers to retrieve live status from our flight-data providers. Lookups may be cached briefly for performance.
AI advisor messages. Questions you ask the AI advisor are processed by our AI provider (Anthropic) to generate a response. Don't include sensitive personal information in chat messages.
Demand letter details. Information you enter to generate a demand letter (name, contact details, booking reference) is processed in your browser to build the letter. We do not store it on our servers.
What we don't do
We don't sell or rent your personal information.
We don't run third-party advertising on GateGuard.
We don't require an account to use the free tools.
Service providers
We rely on a small number of providers to operate: hosting and content delivery (Vercel, Cloudflare), flight data providers, AI processing (Anthropic), and Google Workspace for email and waitlist storage. Each receives only the data needed to perform its function.
Email choices
Every email we send includes a way to opt out, or you can email us at hello@gateguard.app and we'll remove you promptly.
Data retention & your rights
We keep waitlist information until you ask us to delete it. You can request a copy or deletion of your data at any time by emailing hello@gateguard.app.
Changes
If this policy changes materially, we'll update the date above and note the change on this page.

Terms of Service
Last updated June 11, 2026
By using GateGuard you agree to these terms. They're short — please read them.
What GateGuard is
GateGuard is an informational tool. It tracks flights, explains passenger-rights regulations (including US DOT rules, EU261, UK261, the Montreal Convention, and Canadian APPR), estimates compensation you may be entitled to, and generates demand letters you can send to airlines.
What GateGuard is not
Not legal advice. GateGuard is not a law firm and does not provide legal advice or representation. Eligibility estimates and generated letters are informational starting points, not legal conclusions. For legal advice about your specific situation, consult a licensed attorney.
Not a guarantee. Compensation outcomes depend on facts we can't verify — airline records, the cause of disruption, and how regulations apply to your itinerary. An estimate is not a promise of payment.
Flight data & AI accuracy
Flight status comes from third-party data providers and can be delayed, incomplete, or wrong. Always confirm critical details with your airline. The AI advisor can make mistakes — verify important information before acting on it.
Acceptable use
Don't use GateGuard to submit false claims, misrepresent facts to an airline, abuse or overload the service, or violate any law. Generated letters represent statements you make — make sure they're accurate before sending.
Early access
GateGuard is in active development. Features may change, break, or be removed, and the service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, GateGuard and its operators are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the service, including missed compensation, travel disruption costs, or reliance on flight data or AI output.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA.
